More than half of college students in Pennsylvania are taking six years to complete the required credits to graduate, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education. That percentage is slightly higher in New Jersey, at 66 percent.
According to the Census Bureau, the extra two years will cost a college student an average of $13,000.
