A Penn researcher will receive a preliminary hearing on Thursday for a burglary charge and other charges filed against him.

Frank Stefano, a researcher in the biochemistry department of the School of Dental Medicine, was released from jail on March 6 after his $375,000 bail was posted.

Stefano was charged with burglary, stalking, invasion of privacy and other counts on Feb. 27.

University spokesperson Stephen MacCarthy said that Stefano is on administrative leave from Penn pending the outcome of an investigation.

Stefano did not respond to requests for comment.
