May 19 — A woman unaffiliated with the University, 22, reported that an unknown suspect took her unsecured bag from Starbucks, located at 3421 Chestnut St., at about 12.45 p.m.

May 17 — An unknown suspect was reported at about 9:15 p.m. to have taken food without paying on the 3800 block of Chestnut Street.

May 17 — Aisha Smith, 22, unaffiliated with the University and of the 1500 block of S. 26th Street, was arrested at about 7:15 p.m. for removing merchandise from Urban Outfitters, located at 110 S. 36th St., without paying.

May 17 — A woman unaffiliated with the University, 15, reported at about 7 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed her unsecured bicycle from the 3900 block of Locust Street.

May 15 — A man unaffiliated with the University, 66, reported at about 8:45 p.m. that an unknown suspect removed cash from her unattended purse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

DUI

May 14 — Uceta Erickson, 29, unaffiliated with the University and of the 2100 block of Reed street, was arrested for driving under the influence at about 1:45 a.m. on the 100 block of S. 38th Street.

Other Offenses

May 19 — Edward Rivera, 20, unaffiliated with the University and of the 2500 block of N. 5th street, was cited for public urination at about 2:15 a.m. on the 3900 block of Sansom Street.

May 17 — Jesse Chiula, 59, unaffiliated with the University and of the 4700 block of Hazel street, was cited for operating a vehicle while using a cell phone at about 5:15 p.m. on the 3900 block of Walnut Street.

May 15 — Rodney Pope, 48, unaffiliated with the University and of the 1200 block of W. Girard avenue, was arrested at about 4:15 p.m. for trespassing at the Penn Bookstore, located at 3601 Walnut St.
