What's better than 14 flavors of frozen yogurt? 14 free flavors of frozen yogurt.

The Penn community will have the opportunity to try all 14 for free all day on Sept. 23, when Sprinkles Frozen Yogurt celebrates the opening of its second Philadelphia area store at 3606 Chestnut St.

The store will officially open for business on Friday, Sept. 18.

Sprinkles will feature 14 flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt including Birthday Cake, Milk Chocolate and Pure Vanilla. They will also serve over 30 toppings, including fresh fruit, candies and cereals, according to a Sprinkles press release.

The release noted the health benefits of frozen yogurt, which include improving the body's immune system and calcium absorption.

"It's an interesting concept," said Wharton sophomore Sam Berger, who likened the new store to Cereality, which closed its store at 37th and Walnut streets last year.

"I think they'll be able to provide for a lot of different tastes," he continued. "The problem with Pinkberry is that there's only so much you can do to customize the yogurt to your taste. People with sweet tooths of all kinds can find their niche in the realm of frozen yogurt [at Sprinkles]."

Sprinkles is the first of its kind to open on Penn's campus. The store will be open from 11a.m.to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
