A 30-year-old man affiliated with the University was hit by a car near 38th and Walnut streets on Friday night, according to Division of Public Safety spokeswoman Stef Cella.

Cella was unable to confirm the man's condition, since the investigation is being handled by the Philadelphia Police.

According to the a spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Accident Investigation Division, the division only has records of accidents resulting in fatalities or critical injuries. The division did not have a record of this accident.

University spokeswoman Lori Doyle said she was unaware of the situation and thus unable to comment.
